"We've built, bought, fixed, sold, and sometimes lost. Every experience informs how we show up for partners today."

Why 1111
We named our family office 1111 Companies because we’ve always believed in making a wish when the clock hits 11:11. Over the years, we’ve watched those small wishes slowly turn into reality — from the businesses we’ve built to the life we’ve created together. It also happens to be the day of the month both of our children were born. So 1111 isn’t just a number to us. It’s a daily reminder of gratitude, intention, and the belief that with the right focus and a little luck, good things can come together in meaningful ways. That’s the spirit we bring to every investment and every partnership.
At the heart of our family office and advisory practice is a simple truth: we’ve lived every side of the equation. Over the past two decades, I’ve been an entrepreneur launching and scaling companies, an investor writing checks and sitting on boards, an advisor guiding founders through inflection points, and a restructurer stepping in when things had gone sideways. I’ve successfully bought businesses, rolled up fragmented markets, grown them profitably, and exited at meaningful multiples. I’ve also created ventures from scratch, watched some flourish, and—honestly—seen others fail. Each outcome taught something the last one didn’t. That breadth of experience—from operator to capital provider, from winner to learner—gives us a rare vantage point. We don’t advise from theory or spreadsheets alone; we’ve signed the personal guarantees, met payroll on tight weeks, negotiated earn-outs, managed partner disputes, and stared down the moment when the bank line was the only thing standing between survival and collapse. We’ve done this across dozens of businesses in marine services, action sports apparel, lifestyle brands, and beyond. We understand what it feels like when the numbers are yours, the team is looking to you, and the clock is ticking. Our perspective is further sharpened by two other dimensions. First, I’ve been a successful real estate developer—sourcing land, entitlement, financing, construction, leasing, and disposition—which has given me a deep appreciation for tangible assets, long-cycle capital deployment, and the patience required to create lasting value. Second, having lived and operated in multiple countries and U.S. states, I bring a global lens to opportunity and risk. Cultural nuances, regulatory differences, currency exposure, and local market dynamics aren’t abstract concepts here—they’re lessons learned on the ground. Today we remain actively invested across a broad portfolio of operating companies, real estate, and growth-stage ventures. That ongoing involvement keeps our insights current and our networks alive. When you partner with us, you’re not getting detached consulting—you’re getting a teammate who has worn your shoes, learned from the same bruises, and still chooses to stay in the game every day. We bring clarity, candor, and capital discipline to every conversation. If you’re looking for a partner who has been on both sides of the table, who has built, bought, fixed, sold, and sometimes lost—and who uses every one of those experiences to help you win—then we’re the right fit.
